The Food Bank of Eastern New Mexico is expanding its services in De Baca County by hosting a Special Food Distribution at 1 pm, Thursday, July 24, at the Annex, 514 S. Ave. C.
The food distribution will be open to qualified individuals living in the Ft. Sumner area who are not currently being served at another food distribution site. All food recipients will be asked to fill out an income eligibility form required by The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP).
Each household will receive 40 plus pounds of a combination of perishable and non-perishable food.
The distribution will be facilitated by the Food Bank’s staff. The Food Bank’s facility in Clovis will be closed for the business day to allow for the distribution.
Anyone who would like to volunteer with the distribution can contact the Food Bank at 575-763-6130. Any donations in advance of the distribution are greatly appreciated and can be dropped off at the Food Bank at 2217 Brady in Clovis.
